Here we will be knowing the decimal system of numbers as per Sadratnamālā.
Verse
एकं दश शतं चाथ सहस्त्रमयुतं क्रमात् ।
नियुतं प्रयुतं कोटिरर्बुदं वृन्दमप्यथ ॥ ५ ॥
खर्वो निखर्वश्च महापद्मः शङ्कुश्च वारिधिः ।
अन्त्यं मध्यं परार्धं च संख्या दशगुणोत्तराः ॥ ६ ॥

Here each number is 10 times the previous number. daśa is 10 times of ekam. śatam is 10 times of daśa. sahasram is 10 times of śatam .
The numbers obtained by dividing one by ten (), hundred (), thousand () etc., are called daśāmśa , śatāmśa , sahasrāmśa etc. respectively of unity[1].
